ASTM A556 seamless steel tubes is a type of steel tubes that is made of cold drawn process. This steel tube is usually suitable for high pressure environments. ASTM A556 standard main covers three grades: Gr. A2, Gr. B2, and Gr.C2, different grades have different performance requirements. ASTM A556 seamless steel tubes have strict performance requirements, its working temperature is required above 350℃, and the working pressure is required above 10 Mpa. For cold drawn straight tubes, the tubes shall be heat treated after the final cold drawn pass at a temperature of 640℃ or higher to ensure ductility satisfactory for rolling into tube sheets and to meet mechanical properties as specified.
