ASTM A333 Standard overview
ASTM A333 Standard covers nominal (average) wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe intended for use at low temperatures. Some product sizes may not be available under this specification because heavier wall thickness have an adverse affect on low temperature impact properties.
Component analysis of ASTM A333 Standard Gr.6
For each reduction of 0.01% carbon below 0.30%, an increase of 0.05% manganese above 1.06% would be permitted to a maximum of 1.35% manganese. The addition of any alloy element other than below listed is not permitted, however, add the required elements for the deoxidation of the steel to be allowed.

Additional product marking
In addition to the marking prescribed in Specification A530/A530M, the marking shall include whether hot finished, cold drawn, seamless or welded, the schedule number and the letters “LT” followed by the temperature at which the impact tests were made. When the size of the finished pipes is insufficient to obtain sub size impact specimens, the marking shall not include the letters LT followed by an indicated test temperature. Moreover, if the pipe is furnished in the quenched and tempered condition, the marking will stamp the letters”QT”.
