Symbols for steel grades

P195TR1, P195TR2, P235TR1, P235TR2, P265TR1, P265TR2.

“P” shows the capital letter for pressure purpose.

The three numbers indicate the value of specified minimum yield strength for wall thickness up to 16mm expressed in MPa.

The differences between “TR1” and “TR2” is that “TR2” stipulates aluminium content, impact properties and specific inspection and testing requirements, however “TR1” does not.

Manufacturing process

EN10216 Non-alloy seamless steel tubes with specified room temperature properties are made of fully killed steel. These tubes shall be manufactured by a seamless process. The forming operations and delivery conditions as follows,

Visual examination

The tubes we offered are free from external and internal surface defects that can be detected by visual examination. The body of steel tube is as circular as possible and straight to the eye. The wall thickness of tubes are uniform. The tube ends shall be cut perpendicular to the tube axis and shall be free from burr.

Marking on the EN10216 standard steel tubes

The marking shall be indelibly marked on each tube at least at one end. For tubes with outside diameter D≤51mm the marking on tubes may be replaced by the marking on a label attached to the bundle or box. Details as follows,
