EN10305 Seamless Cold Drawn Tubes For Precision Applications
EN10305-1 indicates the delivery condition and application scope of seamless precision steel tubes with hollow section. The tubular billets shall be produced in the final cold drawing process. These tubes are strictly defined in its dimensions and surfaces.

Introduction of EN10305-1 Seamless precision steel tubes
EN10305-1 indicates the delivery condition and application scope of seamless precision steel tubes with hollow section. Outside diameter is not more than 380mm. According to EN10305 standard part1, steel tubes are characterized by having precisely defined tolerances on dimensions and a specified maximum surface roughness. Typical fields of application are in the automotive, furniture and general engineering industries.
Manufacturing process and delivery conditions
Steels shall be fully killed. The tubes shall be manufactured from hot finished seamless hollows by cold drawing.

Deviations on length
1.Random length: length with a minimum of 3m. the length difference between the tubes shall not exceed 2m per order item.
2.Approximate length: specified length with a tolerance of ±500mm. Up to 10% of the quantity ordered may be supplied in short length ≥2m. short length shall be bundled separately.
3.Exact length: from 0.5m up to 8m, tolerances as follows,

Surfaces
1. It shall be permissible to dress, only by grinding or machining, surface imperfections provided that, after doing so, the wall thickness in the dressed area is not less than the specified minimum wall thickness.
2. All dressed areas shall blend smoothly into the contour of the tube.
3. The tube surfaces shall only bear residual substances which can be easily removed during processing of the tube.
