Introduction

4130 steel is one of steel grades of ASTM A519 standard, belongs to alloy structure steel. It is equivalent to 30CrMo material of GB standard. 4130 seamless alloy steel tube has excellent mechanical properties, low-temperature impact toughness and welding performance.

 

Features of 4130 seamless steel tube

1. High strength: 4130 seamless alloy steel tube has high strength, the tensile strength is more than 928 Mpa. And It has strong hardenability, the critical quenching diameter ranging from 15 to 70mm. This means that 4130 seamless steel tubes can obtain a deeper hardened layer and a more uniform hardness distribution during the quenching process, reducing the risk of deformation and crack during using.

2. Good heat resistance: 4130 seamless alloy steel tube still maintain stable operation at the high temperature of 500℃. It is noteworthy that the strength of the steel pipe will decrease when the temperature reach 550℃

Heat treatment

1. Normalization treatment: Conducted at a temperature of 900℃ and cooling in air

2. Quenching treatment: Conducted at a temperature of 880℃, water cooling or oil cooling.

3. Temperature treatment: Conducted at a temperature of 540℃.
