Pipe ends
We, Tianjjin Wanlei steel pipe Co., Ltd., provide steel pipes with plain end (PE), thread end(TE), bevel end(BE).
Usually, the pipes with small outside diameter and thin wall thickness are plain end, the pipes with lager size and thick wall thickness are bevel end. More than 22mm WT steel pipe are the two-tailed end. Pipes with thread end is subject to the clients’ requests. Engineers must take into account the bevel angle of pipes when considering the weld parameters. The shallower the bevel angle used, the less likely the weld will be successful. End angle shall be 30°- 0°/+5°or 37.5°-/+2.5°.

Bevel end refers to a slope formed by processing and polishing the joint when butter welded pipes one by one. The use of bevel end is necessary when welding large diameter pipes and heavy wall thicknesses, such as those used in oil and gas pipelines. Because the weld must be able to penetrate all the way through the thickness of the pipes without fail or risk of leaking.
Bevel end pipes are used in construction, oil and gas industry, and other industrial projects for purposes such as pipeline connections and support. which has the advantage of creating a tight seal when two pipes are welded together, thus preventing leaks or other contaminants from entering the pipeline. The beveling process itself involves cutting or machining away a portion of the material at the end of the pipe. This creates a surface that can be fitted with a mating pipe of the same size and thickness, allowing them to be connected by welding.
When specifying pipes, the bevel angle must always be taken into account. To ensure successful welding, the angle should be specified as soon as possible in the design stage. This ensures that all necessary piping is available as required and that the weld joint will have the correct angle to successfully make a weld.
