ASTM A358 EFW Stainless Steel Pipe

ASTM A358 electric fusion welded is made from alloy or stainless steel plate and applicable for corrosive or high temperature service.

Classifications of ASTM A358 EFW stainless steel pipe

Class 1 pipe shall be welded with filler metal on both side and the entire length of the pipeline shall be examined by radiography.

Class 2 pipe shall be welded with filler metal on both side. Radiography is not required.

Class 3 pipe shall be welded with filler metal on single side and the entire length of the pipeline shall be examined by radiography.

Class 4 pipe shall be welded with filler metal on single side, but the inside surface of the pipe shall be processed without filler metal. The entire length of the pipeline shall be examined by radiography.

Class 5 pipe shall be welded with filler metal on both side and the entire length of the pipeline shall be examined by spot radiography.
