ASTM A795 specification covers black and hot-dipped galvanized weld and seamless steel pipe. Pipe under this standard is intend for use in fire protection systems. Pipes for fire protection aim at transporting water by connection fire equipment. Due to special requirement, the materials and wall thickness shall be high quality. The pipe may be bent, but it is not intended for bending made at ambient temperature wherein the inside diameter of the bend is less than twelve times the outside diameter of the pipe being bent. Successful bending of pipe is a function of equipment and technique as well as pipe property.

Manufacture methods

Type F: furnace-butt welded pipe,continuous-welded, pipe produced in continuous lengths from coiled skelp and subsequently cut into individual lengths, having its longitudinal butt-joint forge welded by the mechanical pressure developed in rolling the hot-formed skelp through a set of round pass welding rolls.

Type E: electric-resistance-welded,pipe produced in individual lengths or in continuous lengths from coiled skelp (flat-rolled product) and subsequently cut into individual length, having a longitudinal butt joint wherein coalescence is produced by the heat obtained from resistance of the pipe to the flow of electric current in a circuit of which the pipe is a part, and by the application of pressure. included in this category are induction welded or RF-welded pipe.

Type S: wrought steel seamless pipe, wrought steel seamless pipe is a tubular product made without a welded seam. it is manufactured by hot working steel and, if necessary, by subsequently cold finishing the hot-worked tubular product to produce the desired shape, dimensions, and properties.

Pipes shall be installed 50mm distance from roof to trim panel in the bathroom and kitchen. In other rooms, it shall be set out the top above 20mm.
