JIS G3466 Carbon Steel Rectangular Tubes

Introduction

JIS G3466 carbon steel rectangular tubes cover two steel grades: STKR400 and STKR490. The number represents their minimum tensile strength, such as the minimum tensile strength of grade STKR490 is 490Mpa, which means it can withstand large loads in practical applications.

JIS G3466 rectangular tubes can be classified into seamless rectangular tubes and welded rectangular tubes in accordance with different manufacturing method. Seamless rectangular tubes are manufactured by forming seamless steel tubes into square or rectangular shapes. While welded rectangular tubes are manufactured by forming steel strips into channel sections and then welding them together continuously by electric resistance welding or automatic arc welding.

The standard sizes of rectangular tubes ranging from 50mm(length) * 20mm(width) to 400mm(length) * 200mm(width). The sizes also can be customized according to clients' requirements.
