Introduction of Rectangular Structural Tube
Rectangular tubes can be customized to meet the requirements of unique projects. Rectangular tubes have high strength and excellent mechanical properties, round tubes are well-know for their strength and long service life, but square and rectangular tubes are actually stronger. Their unique shape and stable structure give rectangular tube higher strength and pressure resistance. ASTM A500 rectangular tube is a type of cold formed steel tube, it can be made by seamless process and electric resistance welded process. We can provide high quality ASTM A500 welded and seamless rectangular tube to clients. You can choose the appropriate rectangular tubes from our products according to your application needs.
Production process
Rectangular tubes can be made by seamless or welded process.
1. For welded process: Using electric resistance welding process to weld steel plates or steel strips into rectangular billets, and then polishing and trimming the weld seam to remove burrs and defects generated by welding, ensuring that the surface of rectangular tube is smooth.
2. For seamless process: Seamless rectangular tube can be made by cold drawn process. The raw material of seamless rectangular tube is round seamless steel pipe. Round tubes are gradually extruded or stretched into rectangular by using forming molds. Formed rectangular tube should be finished (such as cutting, polishing, and straightening, etc.) to reach the standard.
