JIS G3466 Carbon Steel Square And Rectangular Tubes For General Structure

The tubes under JIS G3466 shall be manufactured either by forming the welded steel tubes (electric resistance welded, forge welded or automatic arc welded) or seamless steel tubes into square shape, or forming steel strips into square cross-sectioned tubes or into a pair of channel sections and then welding them together continuously by electric resistance welding or automatic arc welding. It shall be supplied as manufactured, and shall not be heat treated expect for special cases. Concurrently, the tubes may be manufactured using coated steel sheet or coated steel strip, if so requested by the purchaser. In the meanwhile, unless otherwise specified it shall be furnished with plane ends. If the purchaser specifies bevel end finishing, the shape pf bevel end shall be as agreed between the purchaser and the manufacture.
