S31803 Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe

Introduction

Duplex stainless steel is a low carbon steel or low alloy high strength steel made by heat treatment or controlled rolling in the critical zone. This stainless steel materials have excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. S31803 stainless steel materials have an outstanding performance in acidic and chloride environments, with better corrosion resistance than traditional 304 and 316 stainless steel materials. It has excellent resistance to various acids and salts, and has strong resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.

 

S31803 duplex stainless steel pipe can be made by seamless or welded process. For seamless stainless steel pipes, its specific requirements are specified by ASTM A790 standard. For welded stainless steel pipes, it can be manufactured by automatic welded process or electric fusion welded process. The main difference between automatic welded and electric fusion welded is whether to add filler metal during welding. The specific requirements of EFW stainless steel pipes are specified by ASTM A928 standard.
