PSL2 L245N material is belong to API 5L standard that specifically specifies the technique requirements for seamless and welded steel pipes used for transportation oil and natural gas. For L245N material, the letter "L "represents pipe line steel series, "245" means that its minimum yield strength is 245Mpa, the letter "N" means that the steel material undergoes normalized treated. API 5L standard covers two grades: PSL1 and PSL2. Compared with grade PSL1, grade PSL2 has more strict requirements for the performance of steel pipes.

 

Feature of PSL2 L245N seamless steel pipes

1. High strength: L245N seamless steel pipe has high tensile strength (415Mpa-655Mpa) and high yield strength (245Mpa-450Mpa), which can withstand large loads under high-pressure environments.

2. Excellent low-temperature toughness: L245N seamless steel pipe has excellent low-temperature impact toughness. It still maintain good toughness at the low-temperature of -20 to -40℃, not easy to crack cased by embrittlement.

3. Good welding performance: L245N seamless steel pipe has low carbon content and high manganese content, which give it good welding performance, and easy to cut and process.
