Introduction
ASTM A822 standard covers nominal wall thickness, seamless, cold drawn carbon steel tube intended for use in hydraulic systems and in other similar applications where forming operations require tight radius bending and flaring. ASTM A822 cold drawn seamless steel tubes have high strength and hardness due to multiple drawing and annealing treatment. For heat treatment, steel tubes shall be heated after the final cold working operations to a temperature of at least 650℃. In additions, ASTM A822 cold drawn seamless steel tubes also have high precision and uniformly wall thickness, and the sizes and thickness usually are 3.2mm-88.9mm in outer diameter and 0.9mm-3.4mm in wall thickness.
