Introduction
ASTM A500 specification include round, square, rectangular or special shape structural tube. ASTM A500 structural round tube has excellent welding performance. In additions, it also has good tensile strength and high pressure resistance, which can withstand large loads. ASTM A500 structural round tube can be produced by seamless or welded process. Welded tube shall be made from flat-rolled steel by the electric resistance welded process. ASTM A500 standard can be classified into four grades: Gr.A, Gr.B, Gr.C, Gr.D. Gr.D tube shall be heat treated at a temperature at least 590℃ for one hour per 25mm of thickness to ensure its strength.
