Introduction

P9 alloy seamless steel pipe is equivalent to 12Cr9Mo of GB/T 5310 standard. They have high similarities in terms of chemical compositions, mechanical properties and delivery condition, meeting the requirements that is specified by different standards.

ASTM A335 standard specifics strict requirement for the chemical compositions of P9 alloy seamless steel pipe. P9 alloy steel pipe contain multiple alloy elements. Carbon content should be kept below 0.15%, which can achieve the optimal balance between strength the hardness. Suitable silicon element (the content ranging from 0.25% to 1.00%) further improves the strength of P9 alloy steel pipe.
