1. Classification by production method
SMLS: Seamless steel pipe
ERW: Electric resistance welding
EFW: Electric fusion welding
SAW: Submerged arc welding (SAWL: longitudinal seam, SAWH: helical seam)
2. Classification by material
Carbon steel pipe. It covers plain carbon steel pipe and high-quality carbon steel pipe.
Alloy steel pipe. It covers low alloy steel pipe and high alloy steel pipe, and high alloy steel is also called as stainless steel.
