Hydrostatic testing is a method of evaluating the pressure bearing capacity and sealing performance of a steel pipe by injecting a certain pressure of water into the pipe and observing its deformation, leakage, and other conditions under pressure. This testing method is not only applicable to the

production process of steel pipes, but also widely used in various stages such as installation and use, and is a key step in ensuring that the quality of steel pipes meets design requirements.

The purpose of hydrostatic test

1. Verify sealing: Ensure that steel pipes have no hidden dangers of leakage and rupture before use, which is the foundation for ensuring the normal operation of pipeline systems.

2. Evaluating strength: Check whether the steel pipe will deform or be damaged when subjected to working pressure to verify its bearing capacity.

3. Detecting leakage holes: By observing under pressure, potential leakage points can be detected and marked in a timely manner, providing a basis for subsequent treatment.

The standard of hydrostatic test

1. Pressure resistance time: Under the test pressure, the pressure resistance time should be ensured to be no less than 5 seconds, and the steel pipe should not leak.
2. Temperature: During the experiment, the temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃. When the temperature is lower than 5 ℃, anti freezing measures should be taken.
