Introduction

GB/T 8162 seamless steel pipe is made of high quality carbon steel and low alloy steel. Carbon steel materials mainly include 10#, 20#, 45#, etc. Low alloy materials mainly include Q345, Q390, Q420, and Q460, etc. It is usually used in general construction structure. In order to improve its corrosion resistance and expand its service life, GB/T 8162 seamless steel pipes can be galvanized according to clients' requirements.

 

Specific requirements for GB/T 8162 galvanized seamless steel pipe

GB/T 8162 standard strictly specifies the requirements for galvanizing. Steel pipes shall be galvanized by hot dipped galvanized process. The zinc layer weight should be tested after the hot dipped galvanized of steel pipes is finished. The unit area weight of zinc layer on the inner and outer surfaces of steel pipes should be above 300g/m2.

We can provide GB/T 8162 seamless steel pipes that the zinc thickness on the surface of steel pipes is more than 610g/m2 (86um). Other zinc thickness can be supplied according to clients' requirements.
