Introduction

JIS G3444 standard specifies requirements for carbon steel pipes, used for civil engineering and architecture. JIS G3444 carbon steel pipes are classified into 5 grades: STK290, STK400, STK490, STK500, and STK540. These steel pipes are available in both seamless and welded forms. The dimensional rang covered by this standard is generally outside diameter 21.3mm to 1016mm.

JIS G3444 seamless steel pipes are available in multiple sizes. These steel pipes can be galvanized for protection. The zinc layer on the inner or outer surface of the steel pipe can reach 610g/m2 (86um). The length of the steel pipes above 2" can reach 12 meters.
