The standard covers tubes with specified elevated temperature properties and is applicable to tubes intended for use in pressure equipment and installations at elevated temperatures. The standard specifies the following grades of non-alloy and alloy steel tubes: P195GH, P235GH, P265GH, 16Mo3, 13CrMo4-5, 10CrMo9-10, 11CrMo9-10, X10CrMoVNb9-1, X20CrMoV11-1, and X10CrWMoVNb9-2. These grades are designated with a capital letter P followed by a number indicating the minimum yield strength in MPa. These tubes are required to undergo non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic testing, electromagnetic testing, eddy current testing, or visual testing.
