JIS G3445 Carbon Steel Tubes For Machine Structure
Tubes under the JIS G3445 specification shall be manufactured by combination of the tube manufacturing method and the finishing method. If necessary, appropriate heat treatment may be applied to the tube. It may be made using coated steel sheet or coated steel strip, if so requested by the purchaser. Bevel end finishing may be applied under the purchaser's specification, in which case the shape shall be based on the agreement between the manufacturer and the purchaser. For tubes of thickness 22mm or under, unless otherwise specified.

Besides the analysis of chemical composition and mechanical properties, the purchaser may request a hydraulic test, non-destructive test at the weld and so on. In these cases, test item,test piece sampling method, test method and acceptance criterion shall be as previously agreed between the manufacturer and the purchaser.
Type of coating and coating mass of JIS G3445 carbon steel tubes for machine structure
The coating should be one of the following 5 types: hot dip zinc-coating, electrolytic zinc-coating, hot-dip aluminium-coating, hot-dip zinc 5% aluminium alloy-coating and hot-dip 55% aliminium-zinc alloy-coating. When applying equivalent thickness coating, the coating mass as specified in JIS G3302, JIS G3313, JISG3314, JISG3317 and JIS G3321 is applied.
