ASTM A369 FP11 Seamless Alloy Steel Pipe

Introduction

FP11 is one of steel grades in ASTM A369 standard, it is equivalent to ASTM A335 P11 on mechanical properties. This alloy steel pipes have heavier wall, and the maximum wall thickness can reach 60mm, which makes it has high strength and hardness. ASTM A369 alloy steel pipes contain multiple alloy elements, such as chromium and molybdenum elements, they can form a dense oxide film on the surface of the steel pipe to improve its corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, enabling it to resist the erosion of chemical substances, such as acid, alkali and salts, etc. In additions, ASTM A369 alloy steel pipe still maintain excellent mechanical performance and stability under high temperature, not easy to deformation and damage. So it is especially suitable for high temperature applications, such as the manufacturing of boiler.

Heat treatment

Applications

ASTM A369 seamless alloy steel pipe is made from turned and bored forgings, the wall thickness is relatively heavier, which gives it good high temperature resistance. So it is suitable for the applications that excellent high temperature resistance and high strength are required, such as manufacturing of high pressure boiler.
