Heat treatment of ASTM A182 fittings and flanges

After hot working, forgings shall be cooled to temperatures below 1000 ° F [538℃] prior to heat treatment in accordance with standard requirements

Surface finish and corrosion protection

Forgings and finished part shall conform to the requirements of specification A961/A961M

The forgings and finished parts shall be free of scale,machining burrs which might hinder fit up,and other injurious inperfections as defined herein.
