Manufacturing process of ASTM A105 half couplings

The manufacturing process of pipe fittings includes forging and forming.

And stamping, hammering, perforating, extruding, upsetting, rolling, bending, welding and machining. Or a combination of two or more of these operations.

In the process of manufacturing steel pipe fittings, the following issues should be noted:

1. Damage defects and welding defects are not allowed.

2. After forming the pipe at an appropriate temperature, it should be cooled to a temperature below the critical temperature range in an appropriate environment. There must be no defects during the cooling process. The cooling rate should not be greater than in air.

3. Appropriate inspection should be carried out after manufacture.

Including hardness test, tensile test and hydraulic test.
