What is pipeline steel?

        Pipeline steel is a specialized steel used for manufacturing long-distance transportation pipelines for fluids such as oil, natural gas, water, coal, and slurry. It usually exists in the form of hot-rolled coils or medium thick plates, and is then formed and welded into large-diameter submerged arc welded pipes (LSAW/SSAW) or high-frequency resistance welded pipes (ERW).
