LSAW steel pipe, the full name is longitudinal submerged arc welding, which is a type of welded steel pipe manufactured by forming a steel plate into a round shape and then welding the seam longitudinally. This welding process utilizes submerged arc welding, which provides high strength and suitable for various application fields, especially in long distance transportation pipeline systems of oil and gas.
Manufacturing process
LSAW steel pipes are made by bending steel plate s into round shape and then welding the seam along the length of the pipe using submerged arc welding. For the production of weld seams in LSAW steel pipe, at least one submerged arc welding pass shall be made on the inside of the pipe and at least one submerged arc welding pass shall be made on the outside of the pipe.

Features of LSAW steel pipes
1. Large diameter and thickness: LSAW steel pipes can be produced in a wide range of diameters and thicknesses, making them suitable for long distance transportation pipeline systems in oil and gas fields.
2. High Strength and Pressure Resistance: The submerged arc welding process results in a high strength and durable steel pipes, capable of withstanding high pressure.
3. Good Toughness and Uniformity: LSAW steel pipes exhibit good toughness, plasticity, and uniformity, which is not easy to break or damage when withstanding large external impact force.
