Introduction of Q345 Steel Grade
Grade Q345 is a kind of low alloy steel, which has good mechanical properties, low temperature resistance and welding performance. Q345 represents its yield strength, so Q345 means that the yield strength of this steel material is 345 Mpa. Compared with Q235, Grade Q345 is belong to low alloy steel, while grade Q235 is belong to common carbon steel.
Grade Q345 can be divided five levels: Q345A, Q345B, Q345C, Q345D, and Q345E. The suffix letter represents the different temperatures of impact test. Such as Q345A means that no impact; Q345B means that 20℃ normal temperature impact; Q345C means that 0℃ impact; Q345D means that -20℃ impact; Q345E means that -40℃ impact.
Application of Q345 Steel Grade
Grade Q345 has high strength, good mechanical properties, low temperature resistance, and welding performance. It is usually used in buildings, pressure vessels, vehicles, and ships, etc., and it still can maintain high performance under harsh environments.
